Lake Pend Oreille
Lake Pend Oreille is both Idaho’s most extensive and deepest lake and is the main tributary to the Pend Oreille River. With over 144 miles of shoreline, anglers of all skill levels can explore this massive body of water for kokanee salmon, rainbow, bull, and lake trout, as well as catfish, mountain whitefish, and crappie.
Priest Lake
This not-so-hidden gem of a lake is ensconced atop the Northern Idaho mountains. Much of the shoreline is within reasonable proximity to docks and boat launches, so eager anglers will gain easy access to the lake, whether by boat or from shore. Many of the residential docks around the lake serve as excellent habitat for crappie, bluegill, and bass. The Priest Lake area also has various shops and restaurants to explore after a day of fishing.
