Healthy & Homemade

Red Horse Mountain Ranch is known for its famous Kids Program and our amazing menu of guided adventures, however, over the past few years the food has taken a gold medal.

In the spirit of a great western dude ranch, Grandma’s recipes are alive and well, but we’ve added a little flair to bring out the flavors and the freshness of the West. At Red Horse Mountain Ranch the food is always fresh, with plenty of options for all. We strive to make everyone feel at home, catering to any dietary need, including vegan and gluten-free options.

Breakfast

In the morning, the chefs have fresh coffee brewing around 6:00 a.m. for the early risers. A full breakfast menu is served to start your day, either buffet style or made to order. You’ll always find daily fresh baked goods, fresh fruits, a selection of teas, fountain drinks, and juices. The snack bar is well-stocked with granola bars, trail mix, yogurt, and bagels for anyone looking for a quick bite.

Lunch

Lunches are served buffet-style; fresh salads, carved meat and fresh-baked breads for sandwiches are the usual. If you’re signed up for an all day adventure, we’ll pack a lunch to go with you for your fun in the sun.

Dinner

Most dinners are served buffet-style, allowing you to choose your own portions. Meals vary throughout the week, featuring items like roasted chicken, prime rib, barbecue, fresh wild fish, pasta and grilled meats. Of course, vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options are always available. One night each week, the chefs prepare a special multi-course Wine Dinner for our adult guests, highlighting regional wines chosen specifically for the meal.

During our summer Family Vacation Weeks, children spend the Wine Dinner evening with our wranglers, enjoying a kid-friendly meal and s’mores around the campfire.

Snacks

A wealth of self-serve snacks are always available in the lodge, including fresh baked goods, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, string cheese, juice, milk, cookies, and trail mix.
