Trail Riding at Red Horse Mountain Ranch

Before heading out on the many trails covering thousands of acres of around our Northern Idaho ranch, our seasoned and experienced wranglers at Red Horse Mountain Ranch first take care of matching you with just the right horse. The ranch maintains approximately a hundred horses throughout the summer, so there’s a horse out there for everyone!  We start out the week with an orientation ride to ensure you’re ready for your week of horseback riding adventures and provide any pointers you may require. Our riding program is designed to be an instructional and memorable experience for all ages. If you’re looking to snap some photos, you’ll love our scenic rides. They mostly follow the same trails our advanced horseback rides do, just at a more leisurely pace.

A Day on our Northern Idaho Ranch

Each day on the ranch, riders will be able to choose from at least two opportunities to go horseback riding, including advanced trot and lope rides, scenic rides, horseback riding lessons, and family rides. Trail riding is open to kids ages 3 and older.  Depending on the rider’s skill level, the youngest buckaroos may be led by one of our amazing Kids Program wranglers, trained to keep the little ones safe and entertained. If you’re not up for horseback riding you can test your skills at 3D archery, clay shooting or mountain biking.  Schedule a massage, go for a hike, or catch a bass in the pond. There are so many activities at our Northern Idaho ranch you will never run out of things to do.
Join the fun for an adventurous Idaho vacation at Red Horse Mountain Ranch. Happy Trails!
