- Go fishing — The on-site pond is teeming with small and largemouth bass, crappie, brook trout, and perch. Just be sure to bring a camera because we only allow catch-and-release angling.
- Take a kayak or row boat —The pond we use for on-site fishing is also nice for taking out kayaks or row boats. It’s not the most thrilling adventure, but it sure is peaceful!
- Have a bonfire — No dude ranch vacation would be complete without at least a night or two of roasting marshmallows and making s’mores.
- Head on over to the Old West Saloon — You’ll find plenty of conversation and libations.
- Play some games —The saloon has a variety of tavern games, such as darts and pool, while the library has an assortment of board games. There’s never anything wrong with a little friendly competition!
- Cozy up with a book — Whether you brought some from your collection or wish to borrow some of ours, you can find a nice place to relax for some post-dinner reading before bedtime.
- Go bird-watching— Just before dusk is the perfect time to go birding as most species are very active as the sun fades into nightfall. Even if you can’t see them, their songs are almost tranquilizing.
